Wear the transparent dressing for 7 days after your procedure. This dressing is waterproof for showers ONLY.
ONLY change the dressing if fluid is leaking through the dressing or if the dressing is lifting off.
DO NOT submerge in bath, pool, ocean, hot tub, etc for 14 days.
IT IS NORMAL to see fluid under the dressing, when a wound is kept moist and not allowed to scab over, it is less painful and heals faster.
ON DAY 7
Gently remove transparent dressing in the shower with water. Clean the area/s with fingertips and gentle soap (such as Dial, Dove, Cetaphil).
After showering, sit topless and let air dry for 1 hour
Send photo to Liz (970) 216-7214 and she will determine if you need a touch up at 6 weeks.
If you do not wish to send a photo, please schedule your 6 week post procedure through the appointment portal.

The older the client, the longer the healing process. It is advisable to wait an extra week for post procedure appointments for clients over the age of 50.
Why does it look like the color is gone after the first week?
Extra pigment is trapped in the the epidermis of the skin and will shed/slough off the first week of healing. This is when actual healing begins. As the skin encapsulates the pigmented area, it may appear very opaque. This is normal. Pigment is now being viewed under the skin. As the healing proceeds, dead skin cells will continue to slough in about 1-2 weeks, once healed you will begin to see color through the skin.
It's not realistic for a client to expect a true lipstick look. Lipstick is worn topically on the skin. Permanent makeup pigment is viewed and placed under the skin.
During the healing process, lip pigments used will revert to their original state, which is more like powder/matte. Clients should understand that lip procedures DO NOT replace the "lipstick" look and that it is encouraged to use lip gloss to enrich the color of the pigment.
